Bailey Park Workforce Readiness Program

The Bailey Park Workforce Readiness Program is a comprehensive initiative designed to prepare individuals—youth, adults, and returning citizens—for sustainable employment and long-term success. Rooted in community empowerment, the program equips participants with essential skills, tools, and support to confidently enter or re-enter the workforce.

Our program focuses on six key competencies:

  • Professional Skills: Participants strengthen their communication, teamwork, time management, problem-solving, and adaptability—core attributes that are critical for success in any workplace.
  • Job-Seeking Skills: We provide hands-on support with resume writing, interview preparation, job searching, networking, and understanding employer expectations.
  • Technical Skills: Training includes basic proficiency in tools and technology specific to various industries, helping participants meet the demands of today’s job market.
  • Financial Literacy: We offer workshops and coaching on budgeting, money management, reading pay stubs, and understanding employee benefits to build financial independence.
  • Workplace Etiquette: Participants learn the importance of punctuality, appropriate dress, following directions, and navigating workplace challenges through conflict resolution and clear communication.
  • Career Exploration: Youth and adults explore different career paths through mentorship, job shadowing, internships, and exposure to a wide range of industries.

The program is structured around four core service areas:

  • Job Readiness – Focused on soft skills development, resume building, interview coaching, and professional behavior to ensure every participant is workforce-ready.
  • Youth & Young Adult Development – Tailored for teens and young adults, this track offers leadership development, life skills, mentorship, and career discovery opportunities.
  • Justice-Impacted Citizens – Bailey Park Works creates a supportive, stigma-free pathway for returning citizens with coaching, second-chance employment opportunities, and community reintegration support.
  • Supportive Employment Assistance – We help eliminate barriers to sustained employment by connecting participants to transportation, childcare, financial coaching, and mental health resources.

Current Job Leads are shared regularly and customized to match participants’ interests and skills, ensuring real-time access to opportunities that align with their career goals.

Bailey Park’s Workforce Readiness Program isn’t just about finding a job—it’s about building a future.
