Bailey Park Innovation Lab

The Bailey Park Innovation Lab is a vital digital learning hub located in the heart of the McDougall-Hunt neighborhood, created to ensure that all residents—regardless of age or experience—have access to the technology, training, and support needed to thrive in today’s digital world.

Powered by the United Way Tech Lab through the Connect 313 partnership, the lab offers a wide range of free computer classes that serve youth, adults, and seniors. Courses include basic digital literacy, internet safety, email use, and more advanced topics like coding, graphic design, and cybersecurity. Whether residents are new to computers or seeking to boost their professional skills, the lab provides a welcoming space for growth and exploration.

In addition to hands-on training, the Innovation Lab also helps eliminate digital barriers by distributing free computers throughout the year. This initiative is about more than just access—it’s about empowerment. By equipping residents with both the tools and the skills needed to navigate an increasingly digital society, the Bailey Park Computer Lab is helping to create a more connected, equitable, and future-ready community.

Together, these interconnected programs reflect BPNDC’s commitment to building a healthier, more resilient Detroit—where every resident is seen, supported, and cared for.
