Wayne Metro just announced: a paid ($15/hr) Green Jobs Training program cohort 2 begins in June and will last for 10 weeks. It is 24 hours / week but should be considered a 'full time' commitment.
No experience required to apply. The only requirements are that applicants have a high school diploma / GED equivalent. The program will have drug screening and background checks and will also require that participants be vaccinated due to the in-person nature of much of the work.
This is a very exciting opportunity with options as far as certification options and pathways built into the program, in order to try and cater to individual people's interest.
Please note: Don't delay, if you are interested, cohort 1 filled up fast. Apply now to save your space in cohort 2 beginning in July.
