Frequently Asked Questions
What ages are the workshops for?
The workshops are for school aged children, but with extra help pre-schoolers can still participate. We don't recommend children under 3 as there are small objects for some activities.
Do adults have to participate?
Short answer- Yes, things flow better when adults actively participate in the workshops.
Long Answer- Our workshops are designed for all participants to learn and participate. To be able to keep our staffing costs lower we need to lean on parents/adults/chaperones to assist with some of the activities to free our staff to answer content questions.

- For families and small chaperoned groups (fewer than 5 people) we suggest a donation of $3-$5 per person per workshop.
- For larger groups the fee is $3 per participant per workshop. Chaperones (18+) are free.

Can I bring my summer school class on a field trip?
Yes. Our workshops are aligned to many of the State standards for Science and ELA.
Is there aftercare after the last workshop ends?
There is no aftercare option. Please make arrangements for your child to be picked up on time at the end of the last session they are registered for.
Is lunch provided at the Lunch and Learn?
We will have options like sandwiches, and hot dogs and will make every effort to accommodate for allergens and cultural/religious purposes, so please let us know in advance. Participants are welcome to bring their own food if they prefer.
My child has a 504 plan/IEP/visible/invisible disability. Can they participate in the workshops?
We are open to any student and will make every effort to accommodate whatever ability level the participant is at. We are open and inclusive to all and want to ensure everyone has the best experience possible. If you need specific accommodations please contact Amanda in advance to be sure it's as smooth of a day as possible.
