To honor and celebrate the history and legacy of the McDougall-Hunt, Black Bottom, and Paradise Valley Neighborhoods in Detroit and to resurrect the Miller Old Timers reunion.
The stories of Detroit's Black Bottom, Paradise Valley and McDougall-Hunt neighborhoods are rich and in danger of being lost to time. Bailey Park NDC , is committed to preserving that history as the future of the neighborhood unfolds. We are inviting all those who have connections to any of these, and other lower east side neighborhoods to come out and reminisce about the good old days. There will be wonderful food, music, dancing, and fun. All ages welcome!
This event is in support of the Bailey Park NDC Historic Alleyway Project. The historic alleyway will highlight and preserve the rich history of McDougall-Hunt. We encourage participants to share stories and pictures of living in the area, especially McDougall-Hunt, Paradise Valley, Black Bottom.
This event is free but pre-registration is required. Donations and table sponsorships are accepted and appreciated.
